#BloggersFestival 2017

This Saturday I visited my first ever blogging event – The Bloggers Festival 2017 which was an amazing opportunity to meet many bloggers and brand representatives! I had the pleasure of going with two lovely girls – Hazel and Nicci. Thank you for having me in your company!

The event was hosted by Scarlett London.. in London 😀 at the The Conrad London St James Hotel. We were warmly welcomed by this huge insta worthy balloon wall and a glass of bubbly.

The set up was beautiful, everything was well thought of.. but to be fair, I didn’t enjoy the lighting very much. I mean, we are bloggers, we take tons of photos, and I had to brighten up every single one of mine, which decreased its quality a bit. But oh well, I guess I can live with that 😀

Here are a few brands that caught my eye!

Bear Hugs Gifts:

That’s a box which you can send to your loved ones – you can customize it as well, put some chocolate, a sweet note or a little gift. It’s like flowers, just a little bit more personal!

I see sparkles and I’m sold! The next table was covered with shiny jewellery and shoes, and the two girls over there were the sweetest! They gifted me a voucher for their store and I can’t wait to use it!

7th Heaven:

Next there was the 7th Heaven promoting their face masks, and the lovely lady gave us a tote bag with maybe 15!! masks inside. Girl, you literally stocked me up for life! There are various mud masks, pore strips, and even a few for my boyfriend! I can’t wait to try them all!

TOTM:

Time Of The Month’s value is ‘Be Kinder To Your Vagina‘. They were promoting their eco-friendly and cruelty free pads, liners and tampons made of 100% organic cotton. They also offer monthly deliveries starting at £2.95, so you don’t run out of feminine hygine products anymore!

Overall:

As that was my first blogging event, I didn’t know what to expect. I was thinking there would be some new make up and skin care brands, plenty stuff that you can touch and try for the first time… maybe do some networking with other bloggers.

What I saw was people going in groups of 2 or 3, taking photos of each other, some of them doing videos (and looking completely apathetic at the same time, like the event was some kind of torture for them). I was maybe a liiiiitle bit disappointed that there were 2 stands for candles, 2 stands for charcoal products.. maybe I was hoping for some more diversity, you know. Some brands were showing us accessories (like bags or jewellery boxes), but even if we liked them, we couldn’t purchase any at the moment. There was also a stand with pills, and magazine subscription… I mean, that’s not something the majority of bloggers would be fascinated (in my opinion).

I’m not being harsh or negative, I’m just keeping it real. I loved the brands featured above though, they absolutely deserve your attention!

On the other hand, I’m extremely happy that I’ve had the chance to meet one of my favourite bloggers in real life – Mrs. S. LDN. I was just impressed how genuine and down to earth this lady was! Scalett, our host, was also super nice and kudos to her for organizing such a big event!

I can’t wait to show you all the goodies that we’ve got in our goodbye bags! Stay tuned for my next post. Thank you for reading,

I loved reading this honest review! I have heard that many people have been disappointed with their first blogger events but after a while they get better when you get to know more people.. I’ve never been to one myself, and it’s great that you went with company because I’d be terrified going alone! Hope you had a great Sunday <3

I would have no idea what to expect from a bloggers festival either. At least you found a few brands you really like! And you got to hang our in real life with the wonderful Hazel!! Sounds like it was a great day out 😀

There were a few nice brands with a mission indeed, and they were the ones that made this festival special! And also meeting Hazel, of course 😀 It was fun experience, I’d gladly visit another event!

I’ve never been to a blogger event before. This sounds not like I would expect at all going to one though, it looks like it was rather underwhelming. It’s nice that you got to meet one of your favorite bloggers though and take a few things home with you!

It was alright, I was just a little bit disappointed that the blogging community seems super nice and supportive, which is not always the case irl. I even saw a girl making faces at her friend for not ‘catching’ her right angle.. But apart from that, I’d gladly go to another event again 🙂

Some people… I’d tell her to take her own photo if I was that friend 😅 I hope your next blogger event is better!

The lighting does look pretty bad, that’s the worst when you want to take nice photos. My first event for bloggers was also disappointing, I remember being bored to death and just not having a good time. xx

Oh no! What was your event like? Were you on your own? So sad to hear there are other people disappointed from their events ;/

It was something like blogger conferency, but it lasted whole day. I was just tired and we didn’t have lunch so it was kinda annoying. But every other event I was at was super fancy. xx

    Congrats on 1K!!
Being an American, I don’t think we have a traditional dish that isn’t just borrowed from other cultures. Since thanksgiving is just around the corner (my favorite holiday) maybe pumpkin pie? It’s so yummy!!

Side note: if you are interested here is a my blog

My main theme is “creating myself”. You know, vs. Finding myself. With, of course, randoms in between.
    Have a great weekend, y’all!
