I moved!

Hello! We all give promises to other people and mainly to ourselves that we are going to start that new life we’ve always dreamed about on Monday. Or after the holidays are over. Or on 1st of June.

Today is my 1st of June, when I finally decided to take the big step and move from WordPress.com to a self-hosted blog. You really can’t imagine my excitement right now! Everything happened literally for a few hours and I would love to share some more of my experience if you are interested… I know, there are still tons of details yet to be polished, but everything will fit in its place eventually.

I’ve managed to migrate all of you, dear followers, and I hope you enjoy my new place. I’m still thrilled when you nominate me for tags and awards, and I kindly ask you to make sure you feature my new blog – SiyanaOnline (instead of BrushAndNeedle), so I would be able to read them all!

Also – a giveaway is going to happen soon, because I really wanted to celebrate this whole transitional process. Don’t forget to subscribe, in order not to miss anything important!

Please let me know if you can see the blog properly, like and post comments, etc. I am truly grateful for your constant encouragement,

I’m still exploring all the features but it definitely isn’t as scary as I thought 🌸

Hey Siyana, I tried to comment on one of your previous posts, and I had to actually visit your site to try to comment, as I couldn’t do it from the wordpress.com reader. But, it said I had to log in to comment, and I did, and it said I still couldn’t. I did it again, but the same thing happened.

Just commented on your work post. I still had to actually visit your site, though to comment instead of from the .com reader.

Haha that was an issue for me too! If you use wordpress.org, you have to make your own html code xx

Congrats Siyana πŸŽ†. I’ve been so confused and unsure of what to do. Do you think I should upgrade my plan on WordPress or self-host my blog? Or is it the same thing? Also, if I upgrade or self-host can I change my domain from WordPress.com to just .com? Without any hassles?

Thanks love ❀️ I will write a post on the differences if you like, but I’d definitely recommend you picking another host. You’ll still keep your blog but on lower price and for better service. You can also check my latest post to see how fast and easy the migration was, nothing to worry about! Hope that helps 🌸

[…] Yet it all happened and although it might sound a bit stupid for you – my blog helped me grow. That’s why I decided to help it grow too. I finally got the courage to move self-hosted. […]
