PMD Kiss Lip Plumper

Today I’m going to review a product that I have for a few months now and still can’t decide if I like it or not. It’s the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System.

Having (kinda) thin lips myself, I was really excited when I received this plumping system to test out! Truth to be told, at first I didn’t like it. Then I gave it another chance, and then got annoyed again. Now I’m really not sure what to think about it – it works but also has a number of drawbacks. Here are my thoughts:

You get a pretty pink box with the lip machine, USB charger, lip serum and one spare rubber thingy.

Basically you charge the machine, apply it to your lips, count to 10 and voila – your lips double their size.

The retail price for this beauty bundle is around £130, which I personally can’t justify, but people happily buy it anyways.

The serum is really thick (not what I’ve expected for a serum though). It’s white and gets absorbed, I wouldn’t say quickly, but takes its time. No smell, no taste, it’s supposed to help you with the blood circulation and sometimes could tingle.

I’m not going to show you before and after pics, but trust me – the machine itself works. It gives the lips a little bit of volume, makes them rosy, reduces the lines… but I don’t know. I still feel like the cons outweigh the pros.

First of all, the price. Like I said, £130 is a bit too much, in my opinion, for a product that doesn’t give you a LOT. It does work, but nobody is going to stop you on the street and say ‘woah, your lips are gorgeous today, have done something different?’, if you know what I mean. But that’s not what bothers me the most.

It says to keep 10 seconds per section. Lies. You need at least 2 minutes for some effect. It doesn’t last long as well and still, it’s not what bothers me the most.

It’s the noise. This vacuuming thingy is relatively quiet on its own, but if you put your lips in the equation – it gets terrible. I live with other people and my flatmate literally rushed to my room asking what was going on. That loud. It’s even worse in the morning when everyone is sleeping and it’s super quiet and I start buzzing with this. Just no.

So what’s my opinion after all? Still can’t decide. Maybe I’m a little biased, and if I lived alone I wouldn’t mind the noise? Maybe I’m thinking too much about it and people don’t care? Oh well.. Yes, it works. But I’m not sure I’d recommend it to my friends.

What do you think about it?

This seems like an interesting product but I can agree that such a hefty pricetag may not be worth it for something that doesn’t make an enormous difference! Thank you for sharing your honest review 🙂

It is a bit terrifying, especially when it starts doing those loud noises haha

I must admit I did chuckle at this, the price tag is just crazy! It’s interesting to hear what it’s like to use though, as it’s quite hard to imagine using it by just seeing the product description on it’s own.x

I’d be too terrified to use this to be honest. The price tag attached with it is even more horrifying. Do people really pay that much for it? 🤔
