I’ve been working on my blog recently – updating key words, checking for broken links, revising old posts… something really boring but necessary at the same time. I deleted many of my oldest blog posts, because I’m not happy with them anymore. I know this probably affected my SEO ranking, but oh well, I prefer newer better quality posts, rather than old ones I’m not proud of. However, a lot of those deleted posts were reviews of products worth mentioning, so I decided to review them once again, and you know maybe my views changed a little bit? First on the list was this gorgeous Make Up Revolution Iconic 1 Palette so here we go.
As you can see, I’ve been using this palette quite a lot since its first post a few months back. It’s considered one of the best Naked dupes on the market, and although I don’t have the original one to compare it with, I’m impressed by the MUR palette on its own. It retails for Β£4, which is super affordable, especially for the amount of product you get.
There are 3 matte shades and the rest are shimmers, which is okay, but because of that, I don’t find myself reaching out for this palette every day (other palettes that I love for my daily make up you can find here and here).
However, the 3 matte shades we get from the palette are not bad – I usually use them to set up my eyelids or as transition shades. The shimmers are beautiful, especially the pinky ones, and they are the shades I play with more often. Unfortunately, there are maybe 3 or 4 shades which I’ve never ever used – as you can see from my photos – the two dark browns, the black and the blue.
Do I recommend this palette? Yes, it’s wonderful for its price. Personally I’d have loved it more if there were maybe 1-2 darker matte shades, but for people who love shimmers – that’s the one for you.
Let me know if you’ve tried this palette before and what you think of it ^^ Thank you for reading,

This palette reminds me of an NYX one I had about a hundred years ago. The shades were extremely similar and surprisingly the pigment was excellent and lasted all day without fading. I’m loving the look of the deep blue and gold shades, both would likely make for good liners as well:)

February 7, 2018 at 9:10 pmThe shades look so lovely! It kind of reminds me of the Naked Smokey palette. There are some similar shades and that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw it.
