Today’s post is another collab, this time with my lovely friend Jo The Inquisitive Writer. She shares various blogging tips and ideas, so definitely check her blog out, if you haven’t already.
We agreed to write a post on What’s in my bag and I decided to also add some of my hacks, because in the summer I hang around with the smallest bag! Obviously I can’t put a lot in there, but it’s perfect because it goes well with everything and it’s so light to wear! I just love its colour because it’s not white but also it’s not too beige, it’s just the right shade! I believe this style is called cross-body, correct me if I’m wrong.
My bag is from Primark (of course), but unfortunately you can’t find it anymore. Although it’s not expensive at all, I think I already have it for two or three years and it looks like brand new. Honestly, for its price, is just a treasure!!
First and foremost, I want to show you this lil guy. He was gifted to me by one of my best friends and is supposed to bite if someone attacks me when I’m walking alone. ^_^
I always carry around some napkins (I lied). Okay, not always, but these hopped in my bag somehow and I never took them out. They seem to be a nice fit, because you never know when you might need one. Also, the lemon napkin is just a single one – saves space (hack number one), and it’s nice and refreshing.
A lipstick can absolutely change one’s look! I like to carry one lighter and one darker shade with me, so I can make some touches throughout the day if needed. I also mentioned these lipsticks in my favourite nudes post if you want to check that out.
Hack number two – I don’t take the whole box but cut a single pill. I won’t mistake it, because I buy only Ibuprofen – it helps me with headaches, menstrual pains, temperature, etc. A painkiller can always come in handy, to take it yourself or help somebody else.
4. Money and cards:
Hack number three – I don’t take my wallet with me, but some money and my debit and ID card. First, the wallet is heavy and bigger than my bag. And second, I keep some really valuable stuff in there which I don’t want to lose. There’s a little pocket inside the bag, so I prefer leaving my money there. They are also more difficult to be stolen this way, because the thief would have to deal with a zip and not just take my wallet. Makes sense, right?
5. Additional items:
I carry my period essentials pack when I need them, but not all the time. Although this pack can save lives, it’s not absolutely required for a walk, let’s say. I also like to have some gums, and I prefer fruity rather than minty ones. Pen and lighter are also nice to have, but not really a must.
Did I forget something? My keys, yes. I forgot them not only for this post, but also in real life all the time. It’s just that if there’s someone to lock the door after me, I start to believe that I don’t need to deal with doors anymore. Strange logic, I know.
Thank you for reading and please let me know – What is your mini-bag essential?
