What’s inside my Birchbox for March 2017 (UK)

Hey everyone,

Initially this post was scheduled for tomorrow, but I got my box today and was SO excited that I couldn’t just wait any longer.

This is my first ever box that I receive from any brand and I must say that I was a little bit surprised by its size. I honestly was expecting something from the range of a shoe-box but I got this tiny thing with the size of my hand. Oh well..

On the bag it says ‘best day ever’. Aye, indeed.

Now, about the products. There were 5 of them and personally I kind of like them. I would have probably been happier if I got some other of the products, but hey, mine are not bad at all!

1.MARCELLE – Gentle Make-Up Remover for sensitive eyes 50ml

Birchbox exclusive – $14.95 for 150ml.

I’m very excited to try this products as I suffer from sensitive skin and struggle to find gentle products. It’s a two-phase make up remover as it has one watery and one oily part and you have to shake well to mix them. It also says that is suitable for people wearing contact lenses!

2. Benefit – they’re real! Double the lip in shade Lusty rose

Found in every box – £16.50 retail price.

Okay, so probably I’m a little bit too harsh, but I doubt I’d personally buy this lipstick for myself. It’s so tiny, there isn’t much more product than showed in the picture. It’s nice and soft and everything but to me – it’s just not worth the money. Other than that, I’m very happy that I got the chance to try it with Birchbox.

3. Model CO – Highlighting trio – champagne, peach bellini & bronze

Full size product – £17.00 retail price.

I don’t usually wear highlighter, but I really like this one. It’s so beautiful and creamy, I’ll definitely be using it for special occasions. I really like how subtle is and not too bright or heavy. The packaging is very light (it’s 3.6g after all) and I think by far this is my most liked product from the five.

4. Balance me – Instant Lift Primer – 5ml.

Product sample – £22 retail price for 15ml.

I also don’t use primer very often (except for the eyes), but I’m excited to try this one, as it promises to hide enlarged pores and redness. It’s 99% natural but you can see that the whole back is covered with the ingredients list. I think it’s too much ingredients for my liking, but will give it a try. I once got the Balance Me lip balm and it expired rather quickly, so I’ll be careful with this one here.

5. ORIBE – Dry texturing spray – 37ml.

Product sample – 75ml – £21 and 300ml – £41 retail price.

I’m kind of curious to try this product obviously because of its price. It says that it helps to build some volume and also that can it be an alternative to dry shampoo. Honestly, I’m quite happy with my Batiste dry shampoo for less than £5 and I’m wondering what would be that great about this Oribe product that would make me spend 8 times more for it.

Okay, so that’s me and my products. I really wanted to try the Bobbi Brow skin nourish masks but these products right here are quite nice as well. So the box contains products for about £55 or if we look at the price for the full products – almost £90! Wow, such a bargain considered I paid around £8 for it (I used the student discount when purchasing the first box)!! I will wait for the sneak peak for April and probably will continue my subscription.

Please don’t forget to follow me so you don’t miss the post next week, when I review these products! Thanks for stopping by!

I definitely want to try some sort of subscription box sometime in my life! I think it’d be really fun to get new products to try. And for the time being, while I don’t have a subscription, I love reading other people’s reviews of their boxes! So I really enjoyed this post 🙂

I’ve ALWAYS wanted to subscribe to brichbox & still am debating so def will be keeping up! I’ve subscribed to ipsy for a year but realized 50% of products I didn’t use/try but a lot of it was great if you are into sampling and reviewing products! Check out my blog where I am hoping to do more reviews on skin care and makeup if possible! And I am pretty new so don’t much up yet! Thanks 🙂

You should try it at least once! I think the best option is to wait until they reveal the products and then purchase it if you are interested. And Ipsy is such an amazing box, I’ve always wanted to try it! Maybe the whole year is way too much, you get stocked up with products for years ahead, but maybe it’s just nice to treat yourself from time to time x

I’d like to try the lippy, but must admit I thought the “they’re real” range was just mascara! Some fab picks in the March box. x

Well, you should try everything by yourself, because different people like different stuff, but in my opinion this one is not worth it. x

I’m anxious to see your thoughts on the Oribe dry texturizing spray! I recently discovered Living Proof’s Dry Volumizing Spray and I love it! I wasn’t sure how it works or what it did but it does in fact kind of duel as a dry shampoo/hairspray; lightweight but works wonders! I also love the highlighting trio, the combo of the highlighter and blush look like it’d be really pretty together!

The spray feels a bit odd, and definitely more like a hair spray rather than dry shampoo. I’m planning to make a ‘battle’ review on it! And the trio is amazing, one of my favourite products <3
