I’ve never done a post like this before, because I’m always trying to sound cheerful and optimistic. Blogging is something to enjoy after all but there are too many blogging expectations that sometimes don’t live up to reality.
Now I’ve spent 10 minutes doing my make up and the next 70 trying to catch the perfect light, body posture, facial expression, the sparkles of my shimmery eyeshadows and so on… I mean after I finished (not because I was done but because the sun was gone), I had maybe a hundred and something photos to scroll through 😀 And then when I opened my pinterest for some inspiration and saw those stunning photos, some of which taken with really low quality camera (the second picture for example), it just made me go crazy.
I mean seriously?! Just look at them!
Why do I need an hour to get just one average photo and they have the perfect super casual shot?!
And there it’s me: fluffy messy bun – missing; fabulous make up – also. Why they can do it and I can’t?! ;/
There isn’t an idea behind this post, to be honest. I just got a little bit annoyed that no matter how hard I work to make pretty pictures for my blog, I’m never going to have lashes up to my forehead, blue eyes deep as the ocean, and voluminous freshly blow dried hair. In fact, I’m a little bit scared of those round hair brushes.
The idea of this post is not to ask for compliments and nice words. It’s purely for fun and please don’t take it seriously. I laughed at my picture myself and obviously I am crazy enough to share it with everyone here (I seriously look like a cat just opened their owner’s front camera)
I just wanted to tell you something that you already know, but you need to be reminded about: Don’t compare yourself with other people because you are beautiful in your own way. There is always somebody to appreciate you for who you are.
(thank you Hazel for shifting the direction of this post)
Okay, this got a bit too cheesy. I’m out now.
Thank you for reading,
