I don’t know why, but I mostly get my PR packages delivered on a Saturday and I love it! It feels like such a nice treat to receive at the end of the week , and you don’t have to go on constant hunts for the neighbor who collected your parcel without telling you. Today I received a huge box (in fact, two!) with full size products from Caudalie – a French skin care brand which I have already tried before and love so much! I’ve already used one of their serums and have only a few drops left of their brightening essence – you can imagine my excitement when they contacted me and asked if I wanted to try some new products!
I’ve just finished a few of my current skin-care products, and was wondering what to try next. I’m also going on a little vacation next month, and really needed to find a travel-friendly product which I’m sure it won’t irritate my skin while I’m away. Perfect timing, Caudalie!
Here’s a little description of all the products, what they are supposed to do, and of course – my first impressions.
Make Up Removing Cleansing Oil – 150 ml, £18.
I’ve always avoided using oils because didn’t want my skin to get.. oily, so I’ve never tried a cleansing product like this before. The cleansing oil is supposed to cleanse and moisturize at the same time. First impressions – really nice and gentle and doesn’t leave a greasy film (although I only used it on my hand). It doesn’t have any scent, which I don’t mind.
Overnight Detox Oil – 30 ml, £30.
This oil is rich in omega 6 and vitamin E and allows the skin to renew and detoxify during sleep. It says for all skin types, so I’m kind of intrigued to try this. Again, this product has no distinct scent, it just smells like oil.
Glycolic Peel – 75ml, £22.
You can apply this mask twice a week for 10 minutes, and use it as a peel and scrub at the same time. Caudalie promises instant boost of radiance and glow. The consistency of the mask is white and thick, and smells divine! I can’t wait to try it out!
Instant Foaming Cleanser – 50ml, £7.50.
And last but not least, the product I’m mostly excited about – the foam cleanser! If you follow me for a while, you’ll know how much I love my foam cleansers and they are the only clensing products I absolutely love to use! I’ve never liked using gels or milks, but yess! Give me my foams! I find it really strange that there are not many companies that offer foaming products and when I find a good foam, I really tend to stick to it for a long time! Now, I’m excited about this product here, especially because it’s 50ml and it’s travel friendly. I figured out that my current travel product is the culprit behind my breakouts, so I was looking for a new travel cleanser. I’m really excited to put this one on the test next month when I go on a holiday!
As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I received two boxes and now I’m wondering what should I do with the second one. Surely there are too many products to use up by myself, but I may stock up?
Let me know what do you think I should do with the second box and if you’ve ever tried any of those products!
