Today I’m collaborating with this lovely gal and make up artist Brianna to show you one easy autumnal eye look, or as I call my version of it – ‘the confused sunset look‘.
For this eye look I’m using only one palette – the Morphe 25A, but any other warm palette would do the job. Also add a little bit of an eyeliner and mascara and that’s it.
First, I put some concealer all over my lid to create a nice base and use the lightest eyeshadow to set it. Then I start building up the shades in the crease – light orange, dark orange, and finally some browns. When I made sure everything is blended properly, then got to the fun part – putting the sparkles on! I couldn’t decide if I wanted a reddish or a golden look, so came up with the brilliant idea to combine both! I put the red shimmer on the outer corner of the eye, then the golden on the inner part and blended them together in the middle. Then I put some more red.. because why not.
Next, I put just a tiny bit of an eyeliner in the corner of my eye, as I’ve found for myself that it doesn’t suit me to have it from end to end. Pop some mascara and that’s me – ready to go!
I used to be afraid to play with red eyeshadows, because they make some people look like beaten, but I think I start to like them now. I love that this look is bright and sparkly, but it’s also kind of acceptable for wearing during the day.
Would you wear that bright orange autumnal eye look?
