I really don’t know what happened, but I got home a few days ago, and I saw my light bulb hanging from the lamp, and only one little wire was still keeping it in place. And then I suddenly started thinking about all the pretty light bulb pinterest ideas that I’ve been looking through and I though… you know, I might actually do something with mine.
The next day I united with my grandmother who happily offered me her screwdriver and other tools, and we managed to get everything out of the light bulb.
I ended up with an empty bulb, unfortunately without its base, as it was broken.
At first I thought I’d fill it up with sand and then put a tiny cactus in it, by my grandmother kept bringing me more stuff! She suggested to put some sea salt instead and also handed me a tiny plastic flower that fit just perfectly!

Let’s stop for a minute and appreciate those miniature items!

I managed to stuff everything in the bulb!!!
Eh, there’s not much to explain but I just thought it would be nice to put it in the kitchen. I saw that someone has done salt and pepper shakers with light bulbs and it looked very clever, so I kind of tried to do the same. I obviously couldn’t because by bulb base is missing and also there’s a flower in it but you’ve got the idea 😀
What does it look like to you? Is it kind of a frozen Chrismas-Spingy globe? Or is it just way too messy to explain? 😀 I’m not entirely sure, but there would be definitely more attempts for bulb decorations. I also believe that they sell empty bulbs without the wires that you can open just like a bottle. I might get some of these. Oh, yes, I will.
Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed my little experiment!

July 24, 2017 at 11:13 amIt looks really cute! A lot of craft stores have actual fake bulbs that would be a lot safer to use, especially for salt and pepper shakers. (unless the bulb is cleaned properly, of course). 🙂
July 24, 2017 at 11:13 amThank you 🌸 I realized that I could buy bulbs after I found mine broken anyway, but will definitely stock up for future projects 🌸
