It’s 19th an I’m still on day 5. Shame one me! So we feel the Christmas spirit yet? Because in Edinburgh Christmas is all around!
Today I’m collaborating with Brianna, because she is one of my favourite gals out there! She is such an amazing, talented, and supportive blogger friend, that I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to collab with her again! She suggested we do a town decoration tour, but to be fair, Glasgow is not the most exciting places to see some nice lights. And I then I remembered that I visited Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, so I’m going to share some photos from there! Also, I’m visiting Edinburgh again this Thursday, and will be back with (hopefully) some very exciting content! So stay tuned for that. Bri is going a post on Chicago, and I can’t wait to see it!
Okay, so first of all, I was in Edinburgh just for a few hours, and I’ve been there before so I skipped the touristy photos. However, this street is one of the most iconic ones and just look at how pretty it is! I’m a little annoyed that cars there were allowed to park, because that takes half of the beauty!
There were three major Christmas spots – one with an ‘ice rink’, and two with markets and attractions. I really wanted to take a photo of all the little shops, because everything there was amazing. Did I – no. I was too scared not to annoy the owners (overthinking??). Most of the items were handmade, which makes them such a special and unique gift!
I didn’t take any photos from the foods section because it was literally so crowded! I also couldn’t stand the smell of whatever they were cooking. But I’m definitely going to give it another try on Thursday and see what’s going on there.
There was a spot from where you could see a part of one of the markets from above. I also later figured out that those blue lights at the bottom is actually a Christmas trees field!!
Overall, I feel like Edinburgh is such a underrated city, and there’s definitely a lot to be seen! You won’t be able to experience everything in just a day, so at least a weekend is recommended. I can’t wait to be back in a few days and explore some more of this magical place.
Thank you for reading,
