So we all know not to buy cosmetics from Ebay because only God knows what’s inside. But then I thought, do you actually know what’s inside in all those cheap Primark or Poundland stuff, for example? I mean just because something is sold in store, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the safest option. Today I’m reviewing a fake Kylie lip kit that I got off ebay.
I’ve purchased the lip kit from ebay because of two reasons. First, I’m not a great fan of Kylie and don’t want to support her business. And well, because it was ideal for testing purposes. The kit came in a normal cardboard packaging, which unfortunately I don’t have with me.
I’ve got a liquid lipstick and a lip liner in the shade Kandy K, and to be fair, there’s not a good match between them at all. They are like two completely different shades (but still beautiful nonetheless).
Consistency
Now comes the interesting part – the consistency. The lip liner feels normal, it’s soft and well pigmented. The liquid lipstick is obviously liquid at the beginning but quickly dries matte. Some people say their lips get glued together, ehhh it’s a bit sticky, yes, but once it’s completely dry, I wouldn’t say there’s such thing.
Durability
The biggest problem for me personally is that I can’t take the lipstick off! I really don’t know what’s inside but it’s the most long lasting lipstick I’ve ever used! I even did one swatch on my hand 3 days ago, and you can still see it, although I washed myself at least a dozen times already!! Really, I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing, but it kind of annoys me when I can’t take off my make up completely. But if you are after a 24h+ perfect look – that’s the lipstick you’ve been looking for. I once had a similar experience swatching a Primark lipstick in store and then I couldn’t wash it off for days.
As you can see, the fake Kylie lipstick is very similar to my Mac Velvet Teddy (although a little bit pinky). The lip liner is significantly darker than them both. However, both lipsticks share the same sweet vanilla scent, something I very much liked as I presumed all fakes smell chemically.
Overall I like the consistency of the lip liner way more than the one of the lipstick. Would I wear the fake Kylie lip kit again? Em, no, it goes straight to the bin after I publish this post. There are so many other nice lipsticks that I’m excited to wear every day, and this is not one of them. The fact that you can’t remove the lipstick makes you wonder what rubbish is it made of?
Disclaimer: I’m not saying go and buy fake make up, you should do it on your own risk. I personally won’t wear it and I wouldn’t recommend you using fake items off random websites.
Have you ever tried make up purchased from ebay? What do you think about all the fakes?

Have you tried using oil or an oil based make up remover? They should remove it easily. x
October 14, 2017 at 2:26 pmI’ve tried rubbing coconut oil, but there are still some lipstick traces on my skin 🙁
October 14, 2017 at 2:27 pmMy friend got a fake one from eBay and she really likes it! I think the main issue is that we don’t know what’s inside fake products – and some people may have a bad reaction. That being said, I understand the reasoning when trend change so often and good quality make up is wayyyy expensive. It’s a difficult one x
October 14, 2017 at 2:54 pmThat’s interesting! Maybe there is a variety of fakes and some are not as bad as other. xx
October 14, 2017 at 3:33 pmI’ve never used fake makeup before as I am always a tiny bit cautious over the potential downsides of it and will probably be giving this a miss because I too can’t stand not being able to take stuff off properly! Thanks for your honesty in this ❤️
October 14, 2017 at 4:41 pmI completely get you!! I prefer to use something less popular than a fake, but it was a good experiment nonetheless! Thank you ❤️❤️
October 14, 2017 at 5:29 pmI use a couple of Primark products and it really depends on the quality of the individual product. I use their contour and eyeshadow palette and love it, but their CC sticks don’t really do what they’re supposed to xx
October 14, 2017 at 6:43 pmOh yes, I absolutely agree. Some of their eyeshadow are pretty good, but everything else is like a hit or miss xx
October 15, 2017 at 2:05 pmI purchased a fake Juvias palette on eBay and I liked it. I mean not all cute shades where great but the shimmers did an aba khh job
October 15, 2017 at 12:25 amShimmers are usually quite good, do you have a review on that? xx
October 15, 2017 at 2:17 pmyes i do..https://girlonabudget559.com/?s=fake+nubian+palette
October 15, 2017 at 5:57 pmI’ve tried buying fake makeup as well. I even think I bought a fake Kylie lipkit, but I can’t seem to find it hahaha. I don’t really purchase any fake makeup any longer, since there’s always so many horror stories and don’t really which circumstances these fakes are made under :/ I remeber I had a hard time removing the lipstick as well, and I had to use an oil or cleansing balm to remove it.
October 15, 2017 at 12:29 pmYeah, I’ve heard so many bad things as well, but you can always get a reaction from a drugstore product too (for example, one loreal foundation made my skin break out like hell).
October 15, 2017 at 2:21 pmBut apart from that, I don’t support buying fakes mainly because they rip off actual companies…
