Lifestyle, Make up

Get ready with me for work!

Hello! Today I’m going to share with you my routine before going to work. I’m working part time in a restaurant/bar/club and my shifts start between 11AM and 6PM, depending on the events that I happening during that day. Starting late gives me the opportunity to chill before going out, and not rush like I usually do in the mornings. First, I prepare something to eat for breakfast and dinner, so I have something for when I come back. Then I take a shower, and do my make up.

My skin is not perfect and that’s me before any make up. I have some spots mainly on my chin (which are more like scars though, rather than actual spots). I also have huge blue bags under my eyes, which are thankfully not that visible on the picture. I spray a but of my Avene thermal water after the shower and then moisturize.

I’m usually not a fan of priming, but I got this tiny Smashbox sample from my Floral Box, so I had to test it out. Review is coming soon, so stay tuned! I’ve recently stopped using foundation as I find it really difficult to find my exact shade, so I gave up. I’m using only the Maybelline concealer to cover my under eye area and the spots on the chin. Then I’m doing some contouring with this Make up Revolution duo palette which as you can see is huge and would definitely take ages to get to the pan!

Then I use this lovely little palette (which I already have a review on, but I’m planning to update it, so stay tuned for that as well). I more often reach out for the big bottom brownish shade and the golden one in the very beginning. I very much like this combination and I use it almost every day. Otherwise, I’d do a brown smokey eye with the bottom shade on the left of the black one (my most used shades, as you can see from the picture). I put some eye pencil on my bottom lash line using Model Co, which is waterproof and my absolute favourite! Then I add some eyeliner just at the outer corner of my eye, and I’m testing this Soap and Glory at the moment. I finish my look with some Lash Sensational mascara, which I believe is the ultimate favourite of so many people. And I don’t put fake eye lashes, as I’m not risking losing them in someone’s drink!

And that’s me after the make up. Oops, I look absolutely the same. Usually people totally change after make up, but not me lol. The biggest difference you could find is obviously my skin, but nothing more than that. I’ve figured out that heavy make up doesn’t really suit me.

say hi to my lovely minion

If I’m feeling it I’d put some Model Co highlighter (which I got from my Birchbox) and my favourite Essence lipstick, which is nearly finished and I can’t find it anywhere! Otherwise I’d just go with some nice fresh scent, and a lip balm. And that’s me! It literally takes me less than 10 minutes!

Thank you for reading! Which is your ‘work make up’ essential?

I’m not usually one for makeup, but those are some great tips! I’ll have to share them with my sister, the little fashionista. Great pics, by the way. 🙂

One thing remains the same even after you put on your makeup and that’s your beautiful smile. With or without makeup, your smile is still so warm and so beautiful.

Thanks for sharing your quick makeup routine, Siyana. You’re lovely as always! 💕
