Blogmas Day 7: Ice Adventure

I was in Edinburgh! Again! And I feel like I don’t go out in Glasgow as much as I do in Edinburgh πŸ˜€ Anyways, this time, my mom and I visited one of the attractions on the Christmas market – the Ice Adventure. Basically, you go in a freezer for 20 minutes and then leave in awe of the amazing ice figures.

I’m going to share just a few photos, because I don’t want to be punished for copyrights or whatever you might call it.

There were maybe 20 different figures – birds and other animals, some mythical creatures, the Loch Ness monster, and other symbols of Scotland. But to me, the two stags fighting was the most breath-taking of them all! The lighting and the atmosphere was absolutely magical!

The guy who created them was also there and told me that one big figure takes about 4 days to be done! 4 DAYS! Imagine all the hard work going into a single piece, that is going to vanish after a couple of weeks…

At the end of the walk, you could get a drink out of an ice ‘glass’ (well, a glass is supposed to be.. glass, isn’t it), and sit on the throne for one last photo. The temperature inside was the freezing -10, but it was absolutely worth it!

Have you ever visited such attraction, and if not, would you be interested to? Thank you for reading, hope you have an amazing Christmas!

I went to the ice bar in Amsterdam. There weren’t as many figures as you saw, but I liked the polar bears that they had and we also got to drink out of ice glasses. This is the article I wrote about it:
Happy Christmas to you too πŸ™‚

Wow, the sculptures are sooo amazing & clear. I’ve been in an ice castle a few times but the ice wasn’t so clean looking!

How beautiful is this Siyana! My mom and her bf visit this “Ice bar” every year in Saratoga, New York ( we are from upstate NY, the mountains) and I have always wanted to go and every year my mom sends me a photo of her head inside a big ice sculpture of a penguin! LOL
