Recreating my Prom Make up Look

Recently I’ve shared my Prom Experience and today’s post is dedicated to recreating my prom make up look. I did my make up by myself (which is quite obvious), as I didn’t want anything heavy, although that was what every make up artist offered me. My make up wasn’t flawless, as I forgot my eyeliner, didn’t have any appropriate lipstick, and even more obviously – I had never ever heard about proper contouring and highlighting. Anyway, I saved tons of money and was quite happy with the overall look that I’ve achieved at the time.

Skin – Primer, foundation, concealer, bronze

I’m pretty sure I’ve used Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, without even priming. I mean, who has time for all that. No concealer, I remember using the Serum all over my face. Powder? I don’t think so,

Then I used some Avon bronzing pearls, which I stole from my mom, and also hated because they were too difficult to use.

I wanted my eye shadow to match my prom mint coloured dress, which was mission impossible as none of the brands offered any different shades other than browns and pinks. Oh well, I had to improvise. I got this crazy Flormar Palette which had everything I needed. At the time I liked it so much, that I got 3 more palettes but with different shades.

As you can see, they are not very pigmented, but I very much liked the lightest green!

Eyeliner, as mentioned at the beginning was forgotten, and for mascara I just whatever I could find. I don’t believe that my mascara was even branded, or it was so old that the label had been scrubbed.

Final look

So this week I used the same eye shadow palette to recreate my look and that’s what I’ve managed to come up with:

I just feel that the eyeliner is my thing and I must have been so stupid to forget it… Anyway, I put some fake eyelashes to finish the look (I do that only for pictures and then take them off), some nude lipgloss/lipbalm, aaaand that’s pretty much it! Hope you enjoyed it!

Thank you for reading and don’t forget to join me on Instagram!

Its so cool that you did your own makeup! Besides mascara and lipgloss and somee of that maybeline tattoo eyeshadow thats super easy to apply, I never wear makeup because I have no idea how to apply it! For prom my mom wanted to treat me to someone doing my makeup at a drugstore beauty counter and it actually turned out okay but I’d never put that much on in my everyday life you know! Cool post! 🙂

Ah thank you so much! My make up skills are not something to die for (at least they weren’t 2 years ago), but I really wanted something very simple and inexpensive. Hope you enjoyed your experience ^^

You did your prom makeup pretty well. But it’s nice to see how it turned out now that you’ve completed your look with some false eyelashes, eyeliner and lipstick.

Such a gorgeous makeup look and you have very beautiful eyes, Siyana! You look so pretty! 💕
