Probably you’ve never heard of this Phase Zero brand before, and I’ll tell you why – it launched this week! I’m so excited that I have the opportunity to try and review the first batch of lip products almost before anyone else!
You can buy all Phase Zero products from the Love Me Beauty site – you pay the £5 monthly subscription fee and get to buy all the products at their factory prices. If you don’t want to subscribe – you can still buy them at their regular prices. But simple math shows that £5+£3.50 is still less than £12.
I have been kindly sent the whole range of lip products for the purposes of writing a review, but this post is by no means sponsored – all thoughts are my own.
I love the packaging – it’s super clean and sleek, and the box is the perfect size to go through your door. Not related to the packaging, but those are also nicely scented – I recognize caramel.
There are currently 4 liquid lipsticks, 3 lip glosses and 2 lip toppers. The shade range isn’t incredible, but I believe there is a product for everyone. And also, they’ll be dropping new products in the upcoming months, so stay tuned for that as well!
I’ll be going through all of the shades now, and sharing my thoughts and first impressions on all of them.
The Phase Zero liquid lipsticks come in four shades (from left to right) – Pink Suede, Classic Red, Gingerbread and Chai Latte. All of them are opaque and you get reach colour in just one swipe. They dry down matte and are also smudge/kiss proof. The formula is really light, creamy and makes your lips feel really soft – soft like not dried and soft like textured velvet.
My personal favourite among these four is Gingerbread, because it’s the closest to what I wear every day – I love brownish shades kind of my lips but better. The Pink Suede and Chai Latte are way too light for me and they make me look like I have concealer lips, although the latter is still wearable and smells like actual latte! The Classic Red is really pretty, but very far away from my comfort zone – but I’ll still try to incorporate it in a future make up look.
I don’t wear lip gloss myself, but it doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate if it’s pretty, right? I think I like the pink one the most, because it’s very neutral and you can wear it without a lipstick underneath. The red gloss is really bright and can be worn on its own, but also perfectly compliments the red lipstick from the same range, and I think it’s one amazing duo. The purple gloss is not something I’d pick for myself, not gonna lie, but I love the sparkly pieces in it. Also, you can’t wear it on its own, because it’s not very buildable, but it would look amazing on top of something else.
Saved the best for the last! I think Phase Zero hit the nail on the head with these lip toppers and although I tried to take a nice photo, you simply can’t appreciate their beauty enough just looking though the monitor. They are so stunning, I’m obsessed! My personal favourite is the white topper, it’s so incredibly beautiful, it’s like a mermaid dream!!
- Liquid Lipsticks – the shade selection at the moment is tailored for very pale people, but there will be more shades in the future, so I’m excited to try those! The formula is amazing and I strongly recommend the shade Gingerbread.
- Lip Glosses – all of them are really pretty and glossy and my personal favourite is the pink shade! I love the tiny sparkle in the purple as well.
- Lip Toppers – those are bomb. Highly recommend both shades and I can’t wait to see more of them!
Which is the product you are you mostly tempted to purchase?
