I promise that’s going to be the last time I’m so late with the review of the Love Me Beauty subscription box! LMB is my favourite box, because you don’t just get random products, but pick the ones you want in your parcel. And the box for August happens to be my all time favourite because it has the goodies I’ve literally always wanted to try! LMB really stepped up in their game recently, including products from Kat Von D, Buxom and Bare Mineral. Like seriously, how many boxes on the market send you brands like these (especially for £10!).
Although it’s August, we don’t have the typical sunny, beachy or mermaid theme, which for me is a breath of a fresh air.
I’m a bit disappointed of the bag itself, because I already got the same for July. I mean, it’s super cute, but I don’t really need two. Probably will include one of them in a future giveaway. But, I saw other people having different bags, so that might be just a mistake.
I’ve got 5 samples – 2 from Buxom and 3 from Kat Von D, yay!
Moving on, OMG. I’ve got a Kat Von D lipstick 1.2g (full sized lipstick retails for $21) and I wanted one for so long! I’ve heard so many good things about her brand and it’s amazing that I can finally try it. I got mine in the shade Cathedral and it’s super beautiful medium-brown everyday shade. Love, love, love it – the packaging, the shade, it looks amazing! I really want to write a full review on it, but at the same time it’s so perfect and I’m too scared of ruining it. I don’t know what to do haha!
Next I’m having the Kat Von D Lock It Loose Setting Powder 1.4g (full size powder 20g retails for $30). I don’t have any experience with a product like this so I’m super excited to try it! It’s translucent, which means that it doesn’t have a particular shade and that everybody can use it. I also love the packaging, we have the KVD stamp on the lid, which I think is super cool!
The last Kat Von D item that I’ve got is 4.5ml of her perfume Sinner (50ml retails for $65). LMB also offers the other scent as well – Saint. Okay, let’s appreciate the packaging now – the original perfume looks drop dead gorgeous, but I must tell you that the sample is not far behind. Even the carton box has some skull ornaments and I’m not sure if you can see it properly, but the pattern is shiny, while the rest is matte. I find that pretty cool! When it comes to the scent – it’s very sweet and I’m currently testing its longevity, but overall, I love it!
Next I have the BUXOM lash mascara 6ml (full size of 11ml retail for $20), and the brand is new to the UK so I’m super excited to try it. The mascara is a bestseller and promises volume and separating the lashes. The packaging is super minimalistic, with almost nothing on it. I can’t wait to test this mascara out and compare it to my absolute favourite Maybelline Lash Sensational.
And last but not least, there’s the BUXOM Full On Lip Polish in Dolly 1.5 ml (full size of 4.4 ml retails for $20). My sample is tiny and almost hilarious but also super cute at the same time, if such combination is even possible. The lip gloss looks almost mauve in the packaging, but the colour disappears once put on the lips and there’s only a little bit of subtle shine. It’s also a bit tingling (which some people may dislike), but I really don’t mind that. I’m now waiting for it to make my lips at least twice their size, lol.
Apart from the bag situation, I’m super happy with this month’s content! I’ve got so many products that I’ve genuinely wanted to try! The total value of the box is $146 if we consider the full size of the products, while the samples would come at $35 ehich is still impressive.
You can get the Love Me Beauty box for £10 per month (or less if you pick the 3 or 6 months option) and also get 20% off if you use my code siyana20. You are also getting a sample of the Bare Minerals foundation as a gift with every order.
Which is your favourite product from this box? Would you like to see some reviews as well? Thank you for reading,
