Right, this cream has a long name!
The brand is called: Perricone MD Cosmeceuticals and it lays on the higher end of the skin care spectrum. I believe it’s American, because I couldn’t find any other information about it.
I got a sample of 30ml with my Love Me Beauty subscription box. I found its full size (59ml) at Sephora and Ulta for $75.
The packaging is super fancy and I’m in love with it! The cream comes in a minimalistic brown glass jar, which is heavy and I personally find appealing. I think it’s super stylish and will keep it after the product is over.
I love that this cream has SPF in it. We all know how important is that, especially in the summer! Usually creams with SPF are super heavy and block my pores, but not this one. I haven’t noticed any pimples and I use it every morning! Huge thumbs up for that!
It’s obviously moisturizing, as it promises, I don’t think there’s anything to discuss about that. It leaves very pretty glowy finish, which I personally like sometimes, when I go for natural summer make up look, for example. But you can always cover it with powder, if you prefer it that way.
It is also very nicely and delicately scented! It smells like roses, but not overly perfumed.
The only thing which I have a little bit controversial opinion about is the so called ‘tint’. The cream is supposed to be tinted (it’s on the other side of the packaging so you can’t see it from the picture). Sooo… As you can see from my photo of my hand above, there’s an orange line, which if you rub enough, it disappears.
I guess my controversy comes from the fact that it’s too tinted sometimes, but then it’s not at all. Did you get it? So my idea is that you buy a cream which is supposed to be tinted, and it’s not (which may be disappointing for some people), but at the same time it’s fine because people with any skin shade could wear it. Is this explanation better now?
Overall, I love it! Love the packaging, love the formula, and don’t really mind the tint situation. I think it’s a very good product and would definitely recommend it although it’s a bit pricey. But you know, when it comes to skin care, we shouldn’t make compromises!
Which is your favourite day cream?
