When I hear Primark, I think affordable but not necessarily amazing quality products. I personally have never considered Primark for any of my make up products, but after trying their highlighter I might have decided to give them another shot. Today I’ll be reviewing the PS… Eye Candy Primark Eye Shadow Palette.
Packaging
The PS… Eye Candy Primark Eye Shadow Palette comes in a baby pink packaging with black wording. However, it’s cardboard, and although it looks okay, it definitely feels cheap.
When you open the PS… Eye Candy Primark Eye Shadow Palette inside, you literally get hit by its cheapness, because you can see the glue, the chipped cardboard below the surface, which puts me off a little. There wasn’t any mirror or protective sheet either.
Shades
The shades of this palette are hit or miss. There are a couple that are quite nice and the rest are rubbish.
First row: The white shade is terrible, there isn’t any colour payoff. The Pink and Lilac ones are quite nice, but I doubt I’ll use them too often because I don’t think they compliment my skin tone.
Second row: The orange shade is simply gorgeous and it’s one of my favourite. The other two are also beautiful and definitely the shimmer ones are very pigmented.
Third row: The grey shade looks like something dirty, as well as the dark green one. The shiny purple shade is amazing! The other favourite shade of mine!
Overall, the PS… Eye Candy Primark Eye Shadow Palette is beautiful but only suitable for Instagram pictures (lol) and nothing else. I’ll be probably using only 3 or 4 shades from it, and I didn’t like it as much as expected. Most of the shadows are very dusty and very slightly pigmented. However, I think the shadows would look pretty on pale skin-tone because they are not too pigmented.
Let me know if you tried this and your thoughts about it!
