Hello, long time no see!
I was actually quite worried about the new GDPR legislation, and as I didn’t have time to properly educate myself on the subject, I thought that at some point I’d lose my blog for some reason. So basically, I was making excuses not to write, because I was kind of feeling lazy as well.
But today I want to share with you my experience from last week, when I was invited to the Smokehead Feast. Probably you’ve never heard of this name before (neither had I), but it’s a whisky brand, which is now rebranding and offering special drinks. And as you may know, whisky is quite a strong alcohol, and would make no sense for the organisators to give us a bottle each and watch us roll on the floor after a few glasses. So we also had dinner, and the whole experience was quite spectacular!
The event was in Glasgow, in the SW3G building, and the whole way to it was painted in beautiful graffiti. Well, to be honest, there are lots of stunning pieces all over Glasgow, but those were on the walls for maybe 100m or more, and were so incredibly beautiful!
When we arrived to our destination, we were welcomed by a large fire and a few chained chickens, which really reminded me of a scene from some dark medieval movie. Needless to say it was literally breathtaking!
Then we were invited in (we refers to a friend which I kindly invited to take cute photos of me :D), and given something which I’ve never tried before and as far as I could understand – it was wellington in a sugar coated bun maybe? Well I’m really bad with describing foods I’ve never heard of before, but my point is that everything presented was a real challenge for our taste buds (and not only!).

We were then seated on 8 round tables, which was an exciting opportunity to get to know your table buddies and meet new people. We got a three-course menu, with 3 different cocktails, and everything was beautifully presented.
I apologize for not taking enough photos, but I was focusing on creating video footage, as I wanted to make my first youtube video 😀 I think I have some kind of a 3mins long one, but I still need some time to find the courage to make it public.
The whisky was quite bold and smoky, which was definitely interesting to taste. I would lie if I say I loved it, as it was way too strong for my liking, but it was an incredible experience nevertheless. I’ve met some lovely locals, which I can’t wait to see some other time!
However, I’m confident that the Smokehead whisky would make an awesome gift for every whisky lover because of its unique flavour. Don’t forget to drink with responsibility.
